Episode 3- “Never Bernie”

Welcome back to the fortnightly show!We have a brand new episode for you which can be gotten, as always, from itunes or streamed here.

We hope you’ve passed these two weeks since last we met doing exactly what it is you wished at every moment and spent nary a second of your time in boredom, grief, or tiresome toil. If that describes you… good for you! You’re “living the dream”, as they say on OKCupid, and listening to our show will but increase your bountiful pleasure! If, however, you haven’t been so fortunate, if you had to wake up before you were ready and go to work and be cranky and bored or worse (perhaps even much worse), we hope that our show will lift your spirits and distract you from your pain!

First up, we have Erica’s conversation with the brilliant and charming Todd Dakotah Briscoe on the subject of Bernadette Peters (and really, there is no subject more worthy of discourse). Todd and Erica both grew up loving, nay, obsessing over Bernadette. They reveal the sometimes awkward forms that this obsession took and why they still love her, and always will. Elaine Stritch makes a special guest appearance, so keep your ears open for that! You can find Todd on Twitter @ToddDakotah and don’t miss his December 12th and 13th shows at Ars Nova with Political Subversities. They are funny, and they sing!

Next we have a short story by Griffin Sherbert, read by the author, about the places one’s mind can go whilst riding the subway. Griffin is a long time friend and very talented young gentleman. He’s a writer, performer and a musician (he’s responsible for the beautiful music you hear in the background of our show every week).

As always, you can us @StorytimeHour, on Facebook, or email us at storytimehour@gmail.com!

Enjoy the show!
xx E&J
